Our company's roots in the Finnish scientific community
T-Media was founded in 1997 out of a dream shared by three students, with the support of Paavo Uronen, the rector of TKK. The expertise of our founders—Harri Leinikka, Petja Partanen, and Ari Nykänen—combined technical and business disciplines with artistic skills. This interdisciplinary approach is deeply rooted in T-Media’s operations and continues to be part of the spirit of Aalto University.
T-Media’s primary goal was to connect universities, the business community, and engineering students. In this way, we help students discover new areas of interest in the professional world and help companies attract the best talent. Initially, we focused on creating impactful content, and soon we began conducting research as well. Over the course of our more than 20 years in business, we have conducted over 2,000 Reputation&Trust in 40 different countries and served a wide range of clients.

T-Media is committed to high-quality research and interdisciplinary expertise. Impact measurement and analytics are key tools we utilize, even during global crises. Our Development Director, Riku Ruokolahti, has extensive experience in the field and has held his position for three decades. Understanding market needs and listening to our clients are important principles for us.
In partnership with the Economic Information Office (TAT) and Sanoma Media Finland
On T-Media’s journey, we have been propelled forward by our co-owners, the Economic Information Agency TAT and Sanoma Media Finland. Amit acquired our original media operations in 2018. Since then, we have been able to focus even more on our research activities. We are once again an entrepreneur-driven company with a shared focus, framework, and direction. Through our research, we verify the business impacts of reputation and develop organizational leadership in a way that is sustainable for stakeholders and society.

We know we’re just getting started. We’re tracking our clients’ reputations across an ever-growing number of stakeholders and countries. Our foundation is built on Reputation&Trust and our expanding database, which enables us to perform more advanced analytics and track impact. This knowledge, in turn, evolves through continuous dialogue with our clients. At T-Media, we combine our specialized expertise to build shared knowledge. Our team includes individuals who specialize in various fields, such as economics, research, data analytics, and marketing.
