T-Media has its roots in the Finnish scientific community and interdisciplinary research. The company was founded in 1997, driven by the enthusiasm of three students and encouraged by Paavo Urosen, the rector of TKK. The founders, Harri Leinikka, Petja Partanen, and Ari Nykänen, combined expertise in the fields of technology, business, and the arts, laying the foundation for the future Aalto University.

Quality and interdisciplinary expertise have always been core values at T-Media. We have always been authentic and curious about new things. Although we are a small company, we have invested heavily in product development and analytics during both good and challenging times. Our Head of Development, Riku Ruokolahti, has held leadership roles for three decades.
