Introduction
As sustainability requirements become stricter, the gap between reported sustainability and perceived reality is becoming increasingly critical. How are trust, legitimacy, and competitiveness affected when communication and reality do not align, and how can organizations future-proof their reputation?
As regulatory requirements, such as the CSRD, become stricter, organizations are investing significant resources in sustainability reporting to meet future demands. However, reported sustainability and the reality as experienced do not always align. When perceptions of sustainability efforts differ from the communicated image, trust, attractiveness, and business performance are affected. The seminar highlights the gap between reported and perceived sustainability, the strategic risks this creates for Swedish organizations, and how companies can understand the connection between ESG, reputation, and long-term stakeholder support at a time when sustainability has become a decisive competitive factor.
