Webinar: Listed Companies Through the Eyes of Finnish Retail Investors 2022

On Thursday, September 29, it was announced "Listed Companies Through the Eyes of Finnish Retail Investors" in a live webinar held at the stunning facilities of the Finnish Nature Center Haltia. You can watch the full webinar recording below.

The T-Media Reputation&Trust Listed Companies survey was conducted in collaboration with the Finnish Stock Exchange Foundation and the Finnish Shareholders’ Association. The survey examined the reputation of 81 large and medium-sized companies listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange among retail investors. The event featured a panel discussion with Kati Ihamäki, Head of Sustainability at Fiskars Group; Jussi Herlin, Vice Chairman of the Board at Kone; actress and investor Jasmin Hamid; Jari Melgin, Professor of Practice at Aalto University; Sari Lounasmeri, CEO of the Finnish Foundation for Share Promotion; Victor Snellman, CEO of the Finnish Shareholders’ Association, and Ninni Myllyoja, Head of Finance at Alma Talent. Gofore was named Best Employer, and the award was accepted by Timur Kärki, Gofore’s founder and current Chairman of the Board. Nokia was named the survey’s Best Riser. The award was accepted by CFO Marco Wirén. Kone received the award for the company with the best reputation, and the award was presented to Kone’s Head of Communications, Hanna Rutanen. Ponsse’s Communications Manager Katja Paananen and HR Director Paula Oksman accepted Ponsse’s award for the best ESG reputation.

A special study by T-Media on publicly traded companies reveals that corporate responsibility and leadership, in particular, have a strong influence on the investment decisions of individual investors. The study is based on an exceptionally extensive dataset comprising a total of 24,353 company valuations of large and medium-sized companies listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.

Based on the collected data, a reputation score on a scale of 1 to 5 is calculated for each company surveyed. The listed companies with the best reputations are Kone (4.13), Ponsse (4.09), and Vaisala (4.04).
