The reputation of Finnish elite sports is on the rise – the biggest improvement is in the reputation of the Olympic Committee

Reputation&Trust of sports organizations conducted by Reputation and Trust Analytics reveals that the reputation of Finnish elite sports is on the rise. The reputation scores of all the sports organizations surveyed this year were at a reasonable level, i.e., above 3.00 on a five-point scale of 1–5.

The biggest increase was seen in the Finnish Olympic Committee’s reputation score, which rose from last year’s 2.72 to a record high of 3.04.

“When reviewing the survey results, the improvement in the Olympic Committee’s reputation was the most striking finding. Expectations have risen among the public, but the full impact will only be seen in the coming years,” says Nina Laakso, Senior Analyst at Reputation and Trust Analytics and Doctor of Economics, in an interview with Helsingin Sanomat.

The reputation scores for the Finnish Ice Hockey Association and the Finnish Football Association also rose slightly from last year: the Ice Hockey Association’s score rose from 3.10 to 3.32, and the Football Association’s from 3.37 to 3.45.
