The reputation of Finnish elite sports is on the rise—the biggest improvement is in the Olympic Committee’s reputation
Reputation&Trust of sports organizations, conducted by Reputation and Trust Analytics, shows that the reputation of Finnish elite sports is on the rise. The reputation scores for all sports organizations surveyed this year were at a reasonable level—above 3.00 on a five-point scale from 1 to 5.
The biggest increase was seen in the Finnish Olympic Committee’s reputation score, which rose from last year’s 2.72 to a record high of 3.04 in the survey’s history.
“When reviewing the survey results, anseende Olympic Committee’s anseende was the most striking finding. Expectations among the public have risen, though the full impact of this will only be seen in the coming years,” says Nina Laakso, Ph.D. in Economics and senior analyst at Reputation and Trust Analytics, in an interview with Helsingin Sanomat.
The reputation scores for the Finnish Ice Hockey Association and the Finnish Football Association also rose slightly from last year: the Finnish Ice Hockey Association’s score rose from 3.10 to 3.32, and the Finnish Football Association’s from 3.37 to 3.45.
